Are you a student who is looking for an internship position for the summer or to get your volunteer hours for school? The IFH Museum of Ukrainian Folk Art welcomes students who are interested in gaining theoretical and practical training, while working for our heritage museum in Mississauga. We would like to invite you to work with our curatorial staff in exhibit development, writing and editing

The IFH Museum of Ukrainian Folk Art is part of the IFH, a not-for profit organization that was incorporated in 1957. For the past 60 years Ivan Franko Homes have been collecting items from donors in Canada and Ukraine. Our huge collections of embroidered towels “rushnyky”, pillows, shirts and blouses, pysanky, flower wreaths and other family heirlooms were mostly donated by the Ukrainian community in Ontario.
If you would like to donate Ukrainian heritage items please call 905-820- 0573. Be part of the future, be part of your community, donate now.
The Museum of Ukrainian Folk Art provides meaningful options that facilitate the Museum’s mission while affording sponsorship opportunities and outlets for the personal interests of community members.
Generous donations from corporations, government grants and individuals play a big role in the sustainability of the Museum of Ukrainian Folk Art, its continued relevance and ongoing success. Please contact us for more information at info@ivanfrankohomes.com
We would like to invite everyone to learn more about their background, Ukrainian history and heritage. Ukrainian culture is so rich in household traditions and it is very interesting to learn our native customs and where they come from. Ivan Franko Home’s library includes historical, cultural and modern books. The comfortable reading area brings you to Taras Shevchenko’s garden or the Carpathian Mountains of Lesia Ukrainka. If you would like to take a break there is a billiard table available for IFH’s residents and guests. If you require any assistance please make an appointment with the librarian by calling 905-820- 0573.
