Ivan Franko Homes rely on our volunteers and the individual skills they bring with them. Whether you have 1 hour a week to give, or 10, you have the ability to make a difference in a senior’s life. Volunteering provides an opportunity to develop new skills and gain real world experience working with seniors in a health care setting. During your time as a volunteer, you will meet new people, build your network, connect with our community, create lasting friendships, and develop a sense of motivation. We will help you to find the right position to match your personality and skills. Giving even in a simple way can help those in need and enhance your personal satisfaction, happiness and health. Volunteering can combat depression, reduce stress, provide a sense of purpose and keep you mentally stimulated. Students, this is a great way to achieve your mandatory volunteer hours while contributing to your community and gaining new experience to boost your resume. All volunteers will be provided with an orientation prior to their first visit,
regular trainings, guidance and direction from Volunteer Coordinators. Later we are happy to provide a letter of recommendation.
