Particular care is given to the residents' dining experience. Healthy, nutritious and ethnospecific Ukrainian and Canadian food and beverages are provided. A continuous effort and partnership between the physician, nursing staff, dietician and support staff ensure the best suited meal for each resident.
Our Menu includes healthy choices from all 4 food groups. It is rotated on a 3 week basis. During each meal residents are provided with 2 options to choose from. The 3 week menu is posted on each floor, along with the daily menu
in both English and Ukrainian.
Residents enjoy meals in the main dining room overlooking a stunning ravine and, depending on their mobility, in smaller dining rooms on each floor as well.
Dieticians in LTC play an important role in the health and wellbeing of residents by managing overall nutrition care to maximize food and fluid intake, prevent malnutrition and enhance quality of life.
Our home has a Dietician (RD) on site that conducts Nutritional Assessments for all residents to develop an individualized Care Plan to improve and maintain their nutritional status.
